The City of Johnstown is located in Upstate NY just north west of the New York State Capital, Albany. We are mostly surrounded by the Town of Johnstown. Other neighboring communities include the City of Gloversville, the City of Amsterdam and the Village of Fonda, to name a few. The City of Johnstown is located within Fulton County – Land of 44 lakes!
