  • Building doors are locked. The hallways are not wide enough to follow the “social distancing” guidelines. 
 
  • THERE IS NOW A DROP BOX LOCATED TO THE RIGHT OF THE FRONT DOORS AT CITY HALL. PLEASE USE THE DROP BOX TO LEAVE ANY DOCUMENTS / PAYMENTS. THERE IS ALSO A DROP BOX AT THE WATER DEPT. FOR WATER RELATED MATTERS.
 
  • City Hall office hours are now 8:00 to 3:00 p.m.; with City Hall remaining open during lunch hours.
 
  • No one will be admitted in city buildings without a face mask.
 
  • If a Department Head deems it necessary that a face to face meeting is necessary than an appointment can be scheduled. The following are the telephone numbers to our departments should any questions arise or an appointment is needed:

HUNTING & FISHING
The City of Johnstown will no longer sell hunting and fishing licenses. The current computer system has become obsolete and unusable; it is not cost effective for the City to purchase a new system given the amount of licenses sold, and revenue received, by the City.
Hunting and fishing licenses can be purchased at establishments such as WalMart, Runnings and Frank's Gun Shop. Additional locations can be found on the NYS DEC website:

Spring Cleanup / Drop-off Program

Due to Covid-19, the Fulton County Solid Waste has rescheduled the city's spring cleanup program originally scheduled for May 7th-9th.

The new dates for the drop off will be:
Thursday, October 15th 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday, October 16th 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 17th  7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
