Vernon F. Jackson

Mayor Vernon Jackson was born and educated in Utica, NY. He was employed by the Social Security Administration for 35 years, retiring in 2006. Mayor Jackson served in both the US Navy and US Naval Reserve, retiring in 1993 with 25 years of honorable service. Mayor Jackson served on the City of Johnstown Charter Revision Commission in 2000 which produced a revised Charter. In 2015, Mayor Michael Julius appointed him as chairman of another Charter Revision Commission. Mayor Jackson was appointed as a city councilman to fill a vacancy for the 4th Ward. In 2016, after the death of Mayor Julius, Mayor Jackson ran for election to fill the vacancy in the Mayor’s office and is completing that term.

Craig Talarico is a 1971 graduate of Johnstown High School. He attended the State University College in Oneonta from 1971-1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both English and Speech. Mr. Talarico also graduated from the College of Saint Rose in 1990 with a Masters Degree in English. He served 25 years as a member of the NY Air National Guard at the Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, NY. While there, worked in flight operations, base administration, and was a production controller in the Civil Engineering Squadron. Mr. Talarico was also a security supervisor for the NYS Racing Association for approximately 8 years. Currently he is a substitute teacher for both the Johnstown and Gloversville school districts.

Bradley A. Hayner is a 2005 graduate of Johnstown High School. Mr. Hayner is a member of the Fulton County and Johnstown Republican Committee. Mr. Hayner is also a member of the Johnstown’s Eagles Club, Moose Club and the Concordia Club in Gloversville. Mr. Hayner has been a lifelong resident of the City of Johnstown and loves living here. This is his first term serving on the Johnstown Common Council and he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the public. Mr. Hayner is committed to doing his best to represent the Johnstown community.

Kathi Ianotti is a lifelong resident of Johnstown, where she attended the Greater Johnstown School District and graduated in 1971 from Johnstown High School. Ms. Ianotti is a member of the Fulton County Republican Club, Fulton County Women’s Republican Club, Johnstown City Republican Committee, Johnstown Moose and Johnstown Eagle Club. Ms. Ianotti has served on the common council since 2014 and sits as a liaison to the Johnstown Planning Board, Assessor’s and Treasurer’s office.

Amy is a 1987 Johnstown High School graduate. She is a 40 year Johnstown resident and has lived in the third ward for over 30 years. Her professional experience includes being an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for City National Bank, holding the Director of Membership position at the Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and working in the private business community as an Operational Manager. Amy has been involved and taken leadership roles in many civic and local school district organizations; past president and longtime trustee for the Johnstown Library Board of Directors, Past Vice President of The Johnstown High School Purple and Gold Club. Amy is also an active member in the Greater Johnston Lions Club, and a Member of the Fulton County Republican, Chairman’s Club.
Amy’s goal is to be a part of improving the lives of all residents of the city of Johnstown, being available to listen to and respond to the needs of her constituents.

Max is a longtime Johnstown resident. He attended Johnstown schools, where he graduated in 2000. He went on to attend FMCC and SUNY Oneonta, earning Communications degrees from both schools. He has been employed in the Marketing Department for Stewart's Shops Corp. since 2007. Prior to his career at Stewart's Shops, Max worked in the Communications Department for the Baltimore Orioles professional baseball team. He is a volunteer firefighter with the Meco Volunteer Fire Company and has served as company secretary and on their board of directors. Max is also the vice chair and board member of the FMCC Foundation, board member of the Fulton County NY Public Safety Foundation and a volunteer coach with the Johnstown Little League. Max and his wife Sarah reside on West Second Avenue with their two children.
