MAYOR
Amy Praught
Term expires: 12/31/2025 Phone: 518.736.4012 (office) Email: [email protected] Amy Praught, has been a resident of Johnstown for over 40 years. and is a graduate of the Greater Johnstown Schools. She began her career in banking and over the years has held positions in the non-profit sector and management. Amy served as the Third Ward Council-woman for over a year before moving to the 4th Ward and running for Mayor. Amy has also served on the Johnstown Library Board of Trustees for over 20 years, Johnstown Purple and Gold, Johnstown PTA, Greater Johnstown Lions Club and many more organizations. She is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Amy is married to John David Praught and has two daughters Amanda and Ellen. Amy has also been blessed with a Grandson Christopher Joseph. Amy enjoys golfing and spending time with her family and friends. |

Scott Jeffers
Term expires: 12/31/2025 Phone: 518.859-0425 Email: [email protected] Scott Jeffers is a 2002 graduate of Johnstown High School. He attended the State University of New York at Cortland from 2002-2007 where he earned a Bachelors and later a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and Politics. Scott earned a second Master’s Degree at the SUNY Albany in 2018 in the field of Special Education. Scott is employed as a Special Education teacher at Johnstown Jr./Sr. High School where he also coaches Track and Field and Soccer. While this is Scott's first term as Council Member-at-Large he has previously served the city as the 4th Ward Councilman, as a member of the water board and Johnstown tourism committee, has been a historical guide at the Drumm House, and has volunteered as an information booth attendant. Scott currently serves as a board member on both the Fulton County Historical Society and Johnstown Public Library. |

Bradley Hayner
Term expires: 12/31/2027 Phone: 518.848-1584 Email: [email protected] Bradley A. Hayner is a 2005 graduate of Johnstown High School. Mr. Hayner is a member of the Fulton County and Johnstown Republican Committee. Mr. Hayner is also a member of the Johnstown’s Eagles Club, Moose Club and the Concordia Club in Gloversville. Mr. Hayner has been a lifelong resident of the City of Johnstown and loves living here. This is his first term serving on the Johnstown Common Council and he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the public. Mr. Hayner is committed to doing his best to represent the Johnstown community. |

Eric Parker
Term Expires: 12/31/2027 Phone: 518-762-2501 Email: [email protected] Eric Parker has lived in Johnstown’s 3rd Ward since 1988. He is a graduate of Walt Whitman High School in Huntington, NY. Mr. Parker then attended Binghamton University where he graduated with degrees in English and History. He has worked for McDonald’s restaurants for over 40 years, holding a variety of management positions. An avid runner, he is a member of the Fulton County YMCA as well as the Concordia Club, Eagles and Moose Clubs. As a member of city council since June 2021, he is also a member of the Finance Committee, GJJWTF Sewer Board, the Johnstown Tourism Committee and the City of Johnstown Loan Fund Committee. |

Max Spritzer
Term Expires: 12/31/2025 Phone: 518-848-4416 Email: [email protected] Max is a longtime Johnstown resident. He attended Johnstown schools, where he graduated in 2000. He went on to attend SUNY FMCC and SUNY Oneonta, earning Communications degrees from both schools. He is currently employed as a Public Information Specialist with Capital Region BOCES. Prior to this, he was employed in the Marketing Department for Stewart's Shops Corp. for fifteen years. Max has also worked in the Communications Department for the Baltimore Orioles professional baseball team. He is a volunteer firefighter with the Meco Volunteer Fire Company and has served as company secretary and on their board of directors. He is currently a board member of the Fulton County NY Public Safety Foundation and a volunteer coach with Johnstown Little League and Upper Deck Titans Travel Baseball. He also served as the vice chair and board member of the FMCC Foundation. Max and his wife Sarah reside on West Second Avenue with their three children. |
